Why are you passionate about supporting fellow teachers?
I am passionate about supporting fellow teachers because I believe that we are all made more successful by learning from each other. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have worked with phenomenal mentor teachers throughout my training and the initial stages of my teaching career. I will always be grateful for the energy they dedicated to supporting me, and I want to ensure that as many other educators as possible have the same experience! Moreover, I believe the best teachers learn from everyone else; we are all lifelong learners, and even the most veteran teachers can also learn from the perspectives of new teachers.

What do you love most about teaching?
I love many parts of being an educator, but the aspect of teaching I love the most is watching my students grow throughout my time with them. I always enjoy the privilege of working with each student and seeing them become more confident and sharing more about their own interests, thoughts, and experiences. I also love watching them make progress in their English acquisition, going from new learners to young advocates who will not only put forth their best work, but also support their peers or newer students. Every single student I have worked with has taught me something new!
